On April 17, 1999 in Los Angeles, California a group of rape survivors and their loved ones launched a petition to the Surgeon General of the United States.
This petition calls upon the Surgeon General to declare the trauma of rape a national health problem of epidemic proportions.
You can be part of the nationwide effort to urge the Surgeon General to garner and devote all the necessary public and private resources to address the immediate and long-term effects of rape.To participate please print a copy from the link provided below.
